Overview
Malaria Consortium is recruiting a Programme Officer to manage project activities in Kebbi State, Nigeria, focusing on malaria prevention and treatment, along with child health and neglected tropical disease interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead programme management across assigned Local Government Areas (LGAs).
- Build and manage a competent SMC project team.
- Oversee planning, implementer selection, training, and distribution logistics.
- Liaise with government, communities, and beneficiaries.
- Ensure quality implementation and compliance with Malaria Consortium values.
- Manage security, HR, risk, work planning, budgeting, and grant optimisation.
- Support monitoring and evaluation activities.
- Identify lessons learned and apply adaptive management strategies.
- Represent the programme at relevant forums.
Requirements
- Training in Nursing or Public Health.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public health programme management.
- Experience managing project budgets and using digital data collection tools.
- Knowledge of health information systems and disease surveillance.
- Ability to travel extensively within LGAs.
- Excellent communication skills in English and local languages.
- Must be resident in the state of assignment.
