Overview
Relief International is recruiting a Project Officer for the Start Ready National Reserve Fund (NRF) project. This full-time position is focused on delivering anticipatory action and emergency preparedness initiatives in vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and operationalisation of contingency plans
- Assist in anticipatory action initiatives and community preparedness activities
- Contribute to early response interventions, including Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), WASH services, educational and protection programs, health, and shelter support
- Incorporate Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) principles
- Document lessons learned and best practices for continuous improvement
- Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring of project activities
- Support budget tracking and financial reporting processes
- Prepare monthly, activity, and donor reports
- Monitor project indicators and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams for procurement and operations
- Maintain strong relationships with local government units, community organisations, and consortium partners
- Participate in technical working groups and consortium meetings
- Represent the organisation in field-level coordination forums
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, disaster risk reduction, or a related field
- At least three years of relevant professional experience
- Experience working with LGUs, barangays, and community organisations
- Skills in training facilitation, mobilisation, and coordination
- Fluency in Filipino and local dialects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Desirable: Experience in anticipatory action and disaster response programmes
- Desirable: Knowledge of GEDSI and safeguarding principles
