Overview

The Psychosocial/Case Management Officer provides direct psychosocial support and case management services, ensuring quality delivery and supervision of local partners' teams. This role focuses on structured psychosocial support, lay counselling, complex case management, and managing Cash-for-Protection processes in line with DRC protection standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise partner PSS and CM Assistants and ensure quality implementation of structured PSS and case management activities.
Deliver structured PSS sessions and individual lay counselling.
Lead complex case management and manage Cash-for-Protection/IPA cases.
Conduct community sensitization on mental health and available protection services.
Maintain collaboration with local authorities and ensure integrated programming.
Support staff training and capacity development.
Conduct monitoring and evaluation of PSS and CM activities.

Requirements

A university degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
Minimum 3 years of experience in protection, psychosocial support, or case management.
Experience providing direct lay counselling and structured PSS.
Strong knowledge of structured PSS and case management.
Fluency in English; fluency in local languages is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
