New Incentives is a pioneer in providing small incentives to caregivers whose infants receive immunizations, while promoting awareness of the health benefits of childhood vaccinations.
We are currently recruiting a Field Manager (internal candidates only) to join our mission to reduce child mortality in northeast and northwest Nigeria.
Job Summary
The Field Manager will:
- Lead a team of Assistant Field Managers and Field Officers, overseeing cash transfer disbursements at public clinics to increase immunization coverage.
- Ensure high-quality operations at selected clinics, providing leadership and coaching to staff, while maintaining strong relationships with clinic staff and other stakeholders.
- Be based in the state of assignment (Katsina or Yobe) and operate across remote clinics and field locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cash Transfer Disbursements (30%)
- Monitor Field Officers (FOs) to ensure responsibilities are met.
- Review daily clinic submissions for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct check-ins during immunization days and fill daily reports.
- Assess clinics, resolve issues, escalate when necessary, and coach staff on performance.
- Plan office money balances, track staffing changes, and ensure proper submission of expenses.
2. Clinic & Settlement Activities (30%)
- Track progress across settlements and clinics; guide activities and budget expenditure.
- Focus on high-default areas to reduce missed immunizations.
- Draft and update schedules, manage priorities, and execute plans diligently.
- Submit budget requests and take ownership of program execution.
3. Supply-Side & Stakeholder Relationships (25%)
- Maintain strong relationships with LGA officials, clinic staff, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor vaccine availability and utilization; address stockouts or issues promptly.
- Liaise with clinics and stakeholders to resolve supply challenges.
- Keep accurate records and follow reporting requirements.
4. Security Awareness (15%)
- Report all security incidents and liaise with the Security Unit for critical events.
- Ensure team members’ safety and compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Review all relevant security documents and complete necessary trainings.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Health or Natural Sciences).
- 2–4 years relevant field experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Fluency in local languages/dialects (Hausa preferred) and English.
- Familiarity with Nigerian health systems and clinic documentation, particularly infant vaccinations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, internet browsers, and smartphones.
- Strong leadership, managerial, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, diligent, and motivated to reduce infant mortality.
- Excellent communication and responsiveness.
- Willingness to work in remote clinics and travel within assigned states.
