Overview

The Rainforest Foundation US, in partnership with the Global Alliance of Territorial Communities (GATC), is inviting qualified professionals to apply for the position of Technical Liaison Consultant for the Youth Movement. This remote consultancy offers a unique opportunity to support Indigenous youth leadership and contribute to global environmental and social justice efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of youth-led programs
• Develop timelines, budgets, and reporting frameworks
• Align initiatives with advocacy goals
• Assist in program design and strategy development
• Ensure initiatives are evidence-based and impactful
• Facilitate communication between youth, leadership councils, and partners
• Support resource mobilization and knowledge exchange
• Organize workshops, forums, and conferences
• Promote collaboration among youth leaders
• Disseminate best practices and research insights
• Track trends in Indigenous rights and environmental policy
• Build relationships with NGOs, governments, and youth networks
• Represent the Youth Movement in relevant forums
• Ensure respect for cultural diversity
• Promote inclusive and community-driven program design

Requirements

• Proven experience in organizational support and capacity building
• Strong understanding of Indigenous rights and advocacy
• Experience in project management and program coordination
• Familiarity with international policy spaces, including climate and biodiversity negotiations
• Demonstrated ability in facilitation and dialogue-building
• Experience working with youth organizations, particularly in the Global South
• Proficiency in English and at least one additional GATC language (French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Indonesian)
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Benefits

The contract is administered through Rainforest Foundation US, with compensation ranging between USD 40,000 and USD 50,000, depending on experience and proposal quality.
