Overview
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is seeking a Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Consultant to support its Telecommunication Development Sector, with a focus on strengthening partnerships and funding strategies for the Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and Analysis
- Identify funding opportunities aligned with ITU priorities
- Analyze donor trends and financing mechanisms
- Resource Mobilization Strategy
- Develop and implement strategies tailored to Pacific needs
- Support creation of fundable project concepts
- Partnership Development
- Engage stakeholders across governments, private sector, and development agencies
- Map potential partners and funding ecosystems
- Proposal Development
- Draft concept notes, funding proposals, and partnership briefs
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate regional dialogues and consultations
- Build relationships to catalyze investment and collaboration
- Coordination and Reporting
- Work closely with ITU regional teams
- Provide regular updates and progress reports
Requirements
- Degree in Telecommunications/ICT, Business Administration, Economics, or Social Sciences; advanced degree is an advantage
- Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in project management, resource mobilization, and partnership development
- Experience in the Pacific region or ICT sector is an asset
- Advanced proficiency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an advantage
- Strong analytical and research skills, expertise in resource mobilization and partnership building, and excellent communication abilities
- Proficiency in digital collaboration tools
Benefits
- Contract Type: Consultant
- Compensation: USD 230 per working day
- Remote work (home-based)
