Revenue Accounting Manager @Hootsuite

Overview

A seasoned Manager of Revenue Accounting is sought to lead the Global Controllership team. This role includes ownership of the revenue recognition function under ASC 606, collaborating with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, and FP&A.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an internal technical accounting expert for revenue accounting.
• Develop and implement revenue recognition policies and processes.
• Manage the monthly close process related to revenue.
• Prepare revenue-related disclosures for the company’s financial statements.
• Monitor relevant IFRS and SEC developments.
• Partner with other functional teams for process improvements.
• Develop training on revenue recognition rules for the Sales department.
• Manage revenue recognition matters with external and internal audits.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8+ years in an accounting/finance role or related education and experience.
• CPA with Big Four and public company experience.
• Deep understanding of IFRS 15 / ASC 606 in a SaaS environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Netsuite, and Salesforce.

Benefits

Pay range for this role is $96,100 — $134,700 CAD. Accommodations will be provided for candidates upon request during the selection process.
