Overview

The role of Senior Compensation Manager at MongoDB involves serving as a strategic partner for the Product and Technology organization, focusing on compensation solutions for senior leaders and their HR business partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated compensation partner for the Product and Technology organization, supporting senior leaders, HR Directors, and People Partners across customer divisions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for new hire offers, internal equity reviews, leveling decisions, and out-of-cycle requests.
• Own compensation cycle execution for customer client groups, including market benchmarking, budget modeling, and manager enablement.
• Lead competitive intelligence for roles by conducting market research on compensation trends and pay practices.
• Develop benchmarking methodologies that supplement traditional survey data with recruiting signals and other real-time market sources.
• Partner with Recruiting and People partners to provide market insights and recommendations for hiring at all levels.
• Lead global projects to enhance learning, such as shift allowance and comp planning tool implementation.
• Develop enablement materials help managers understand compensation philosophy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of compensation expertise.
• Proven track record as a compensation business partner.
• Strong knowledge of third-party survey methodologies (e.g., Radford, WTW).
• Experience leading cross-functional compensation initiatives.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex compensation data.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and strong in project management.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Advanced skills in MS Office and G-Suite.
