Senior DevOps Engineer (FedRAMP) @Orca Security

Overview

Orca Security is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to plan, develop, monitor, and optimize the architecture of the company’s systems. The ideal candidate will excel in working with public clouds and large-scale applications while demonstrating outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions to improve new and existing infrastructure.
• Build monitoring systems and implement self-healing systems.
• Build and support R&D development environments.
• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Assess existing implementation procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Respond to system problems in a timely manner.
• Build, support, and operate FedRAMP compliant infrastructure.
• Ensure the secure operation of Orca’s GovCloud and other relevant environments.
• Apply FedRAMP continuous dependency upgrades and resolve vulnerabilities.
• Improve system monitoring and observability through log analysis, dashboard creation, and automated alerts based on SLOs and SLAs.
• Adhere to Orca’s policies and procedures regarding Internal-Privileged access rights.

Requirements

• US Citizen (FedRAMP requirement).
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role, working with public clouds.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, using tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with FedRamp authorized systems.
• Self-driven and eager to learn.
• Excellent organizational, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
• Deployment tools - Ansible/Terraform.
• Monitoring tools - Prometheus/Graphite.
• Microservices tools - Kubernetes, Helm.
• Programming experience with Python, Java, or Golang and knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash.
• Knowledge of system-level topics - OS, networking, file system management.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
