Overview
Orca Security is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to plan, develop, monitor, and optimize the architecture of the company’s systems. The ideal candidate will excel in working with public clouds and large-scale applications while demonstrating outstanding communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions to improve new and existing infrastructure.
- Build monitoring systems and implement self-healing systems.
- Build and support R&D development environments.
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Assess existing implementation procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Respond to system problems in a timely manner.
- Build, support, and operate FedRAMP compliant infrastructure.
- Ensure the secure operation of Orca’s GovCloud and other relevant environments.
- Apply FedRAMP continuous dependency upgrades and resolve vulnerabilities.
- Improve system monitoring and observability through log analysis, dashboard creation, and automated alerts based on SLOs and SLAs.
- Adhere to Orca’s policies and procedures regarding Internal-Privileged access rights.
Requirements
- US Citizen (FedRAMP requirement).
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role, working with public clouds.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, using tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with FedRamp authorized systems.
- Self-driven and eager to learn.
- Excellent organizational, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- Deployment tools - Ansible/Terraform.
- Monitoring tools - Prometheus/Graphite.
- Microservices tools - Kubernetes, Helm.
- Programming experience with Python, Java, or Golang and knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash.
- Knowledge of system-level topics - OS, networking, file system management.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
