Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate core components of the next-generation Serverless Elasticsearch offering.
• Enhance Elasticsearch’s components to support concurrent and consistent indexing across multiple machines.
• Maintain cluster coordination for optimal performance despite node fluctuations.
• Push the limits on the scalability of Elasticsearch in terms of shards, nodes, and data volume.
• Diagnose performance and concurrency issues and propose effective solutions.
• Support engineers with complex problems and own operational investigations until resolution.

Requirements

• Deep background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
• Strong skills in core Java and familiarity with data structures and concurrency constructs.
• Technical proficiency in algorithms and complex distributed systems.
• Ability to independently manage projects, from design to implementation.
• Experience using AI to improve development and debug complex systems.
