Overview

Starburst is seeking a customer-driven Senior Product Manager to lead its identity and access management capabilities. The role focuses on delivering product functionality that empowers customers to manage and enforce data access policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deliver on a roadmap prioritizing customer needs and internal team insights.
• Collaborate globally across multiple time zones in an Agile environment.
• Own product strategy for IAM, RBAC, and entitlements for both human identities and machine principals.
• Partner with security teams on access audit trails and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to InfoSec planning, ensuring access governance capabilities meet regulated industry standards.
• Summarize usage data for decision-making and OKR tracking.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Manager.
• Experience with Lakehouse product offerings and access governance frameworks.
• Deep understanding of identity and access management concepts, including RBAC, ABAC, OAuth, and OIDC.
• Experience collaborating with InfoSec or compliance teams on product capabilities.
• Proven ability to navigate technical product areas effectively.
• Familiarity with databases, data warehousing, and data lakes.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and self-motivation.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for team and customer engagements.
