Overview

Gusto is seeking a Senior Product Manager for their Tax Payments and Filing team, focusing on supporting small businesses by managing tax payments and compliance. This role offers an opportunity to impact the company’s operations directly, ensuring compliance in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the investment strategy for tax compliance capabilities and set long-term direction.
• Ensure compliance scales with Gusto's growth, handling every customer's taxes correctly and on time.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and CX to identify and validate solutions.
• Prototype and use AI to develop scalable solutions, managing the project from inception to completion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on product management experience with internal-facing platforms or systems.
• Experience in automation and system improvements.
• Strong technical fluency and ability to partner effectively with engineering teams.
• Background in regulated domains, such as financial services, compliance, or healthcare.
• Hands-on experience with AI and automation technologies.
• Ability to leverage data for decision-making and measuring impact.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Capability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively.
