Overview

The role involves working as a Senior Product Manager in the Platform team at Elastic, focusing on Elastic Cloud's backend and orchestration products for the US public sector. The successful candidate will manage offerings in regulated environments such as FedRAMP and DoD IL5, interacting with major government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Define the vision and roadmap for Elastic's public sector offering, including FedRAMP and IL5.
Support customers in FedRAMP environments.
Translate compliance requirements into product requirements and collaborate with Engineering.
Work with Security, Compliance, and Legal to maintain authorizations as products evolve.
Collaborate with Sales & Marketing on go-to-market strategies and competitive analysis.
Gather requirements from agency customers and develop product insights based on feedback.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and formulate actionable plans.
Drive results in a distributed team with clear communication.

Requirements

5+ years of Product Management experience with technical products.
Experience with DoD IL4 or above cloud service environments and US federal compliance frameworks like FedRAMP.
Understanding of cloud technologies and developer-focused products.
Experience working with government agencies or federal resellers.
Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple projects.
Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy and transparency.
