Key Responsibilities

• Research emerging attacker techniques to develop effective protections.
• Build and enhance endpoint visibility by instrumenting new event sources across various operating systems.
• Develop production code that is stable and performant in a security-critical environment.
• Conduct reverse engineering of malware to improve protection measures.
• Review customer telemetry to identify and address false positives and performance issues.
• Ensure protection parity across different platforms.
• Collaborate with colleagues in multiple time zones and roles within the Elastic Security team.
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Publish research and present findings at conferences.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in analyzing attacker tactics and building detection methods.
• 6+ years of development experience in C, C++, and Python.
• Deep knowledge of operating system internals.
• In-depth experience with reverse engineering and malware analysis.
• Strong understanding of security resilience against evasion techniques.
• Experience with AI in development and debugging.
• Ability to work autonomously in a distributed team.
• Passion for data security.
