Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Platform Reliability (Resilience) @Elastic

Overview

The role of Senior Site Reliability Engineer involves designing, building, scaling, and maturing the multi-cloud platform to host internal and external services at Elastic, the Search AI Company.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives for automating system engineering efforts to ensure reliability of Elastic's global infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain software, tooling, and automation to grow the global Platform infrastructure.
• Champion an environment focused on collaboration and operational excellence.
• Respond to and manage major incidents and prioritized problem management.

Requirements

• Experience in striving for 'progress not perfection' in Platform reliability with a customer-first approach.
• Background in software engineering, with experience in public cloud and managed Kubernetes services preferable.
• Passion for developing inclusive communication methods to strengthen partner and team relationships.
• Experience with SaaS products in a public cloud and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Crossplane or Terraform.
• Experience operating Kubernetes-at-scale across cloud providers and vital automation to support it.
• Proficient in writing programs in Golang or other programming languages.
• Experience in system administration with professional skills in Linux on distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Elastic Stack and experience in diagnosing or designing solutions with it is a plus.
• Proven record in leading and improving alerting and incident management processes.
• Experience contributing in a globally distributed team environment.
• Ability to uplift and mentor team members.
