Senior Software Engineer, Atlas API Experience @MongoDB

Overview

The Atlas API Experience (APIx) teams are part of MongoDB Atlas Data Services. They are responsible for developing capabilities to run MongoDB globally, allowing users to deploy fault-tolerant, scalable MongoDB clusters. The mission of APIx is to enhance experiences for developers transitioning from beginners to MongoDB experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Propose, design, implement, and support features for the MongoDB Atlas API Platform & MongoDB Atlas DevTools.
• Build tooling for MongoDB users and developers using languages like Java, Go, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Design and develop software integration components utilizing MongoDB’s technology in larger contexts.
• Mentorship and technical guidance to other engineers through reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Lead projects end to end, breaking large efforts into shippable deliverables.
• Investigate and resolve problems encountered by customers, including complex escalations.
• Apply core values to planning, designing, and coding work.

Requirements

• A track record of independently delivering complex projects and leading technical decisions.
• Interest in building systems that manage infrastructure at scale.
• Effective collaboration and communication across multiple teams.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with developer tooling, APIs, and/or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) integrations.
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).

Location

This role can be based in Dublin or remotely within Ireland.
