Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - AI/ML @ClickHouse

Overview

The role involves joining the AI/ML Engineering team at ClickHouse, which builds and operates its AI and machine learning products. The position requires skilled software engineers responsible for designing, building, and operating AI features across the ClickHouse platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered features across the full stack from backend services to frontend interfaces.
• Create robust, scalable APIs connecting ClickHouse's database capabilities with AI/ML systems.
• Implement and maintain integrations with the broader AI/ML ecosystem ensuring seamless operation.
• Integrate models into production systems with monitoring, versioning, and observability.
• Participate in the daytime oncall rotation alongside the team.
• Design and implement developer tools, SDKs, and documentation for users of ClickHouse’s AI/ML capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Experience with AI/ML technologies.
• Backend development experience in TypeScript or Python, focusing on API design and service architecture.
• Ability to drive features from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
