Overview

Starburst is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Connectors team to work on the core of their software within a globally distributed engineering environment. This role presents an opportunity to deepen expertise in data analytics technologies and contribute significantly to leading products in the space.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Connectors in Open Source Trino, the Starburst Enterprise Platform, or Starburst Galaxy.
• Ensure the swift performance of complex queries while maintaining correctness.
• Collaborate with global team members in a fast-paced environment with minimal formal meetings.
• Provide exceptional customer support for both internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Prior experience developing distributed systems.
• Extensive software development experience with Java.
• Familiarity with software engineering and design best practices.
• Intrinsic motivation for improving software engineering craftsmanship.
• Willingness and ability to travel 25% for various company events.
