Senior Software Engineer - Integrations 3P - Platform @Elastic

Overview

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time. The company seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team, focusing on how Elastic integrates within the AI ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and the underlying infrastructure, primarily using Go.
• Create a platform for universal agent skills and associated authoring and publishing tooling.
• Ensure the correctness of skills and tools using evaluation rather than assumption.
• Design and deliver integrations with third-party AI ecosystems in collaboration with the product team and partners.
• Contribute to enhancing the Elastic CLI for developer efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and support libraries, tools, and integrations related to the Elastic Stack using Go and Rust.
• Provide product-focused insights, advocating for important ecosystem developments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on backend systems.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and knowledge of LLMs and related protocols.
• Significant recent experience with Go and ideally other programming languages.
• Understanding of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to read and contribute to various codebases.
• Strong software engineering best practices and product thinking.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work as part of a remote, distributed team.
