Overview

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables real-time answers using data at scale. The company seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team, focusing on how Elastic integrates into the AI ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its infrastructure, primarily using Go.
• Develop the platform for universal agent skills, including authoring and publishing tooling.
• Set quality standards for skills and tools through evaluations.
• Design and deliver integrations within third-party AI ecosystems, collaborating with product teams and partners.
• Contribute to the Elastic CLI to enhance developer efficiency.
• Maintain libraries, tools, and integrations for the Elastic Stack, using various languages including Go and Rust.
• Apply product thinking to determine priorities for development.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering focused on backend systems.
• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and understanding of LLMs, agents, and protocols such as MCP.
• Experience in Go and ideally other programming languages.
• Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with industry best practices in software engineering.
• Strong focus on usability and developer experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote team.
