Senior Software Engineer - Integrations 3P - Platform @Elastic

Overview

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team. The role focuses on enhancing how Elastic integrates within the AI ecosystem, making its tools easily accessible for developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its infrastructure, primarily using Go.
• Create the platform for universal agent skills, including authoring and publishing tools.
• Ensure the correctness of skills and tools through evaluations.
• Design and deliver integrations into third-party AI ecosystems in collaboration with product teams and partners.
• Enhance the Elastic CLI to improve developer efficiency.
• Develop and maintain libraries, tools, and integrations related to the Elastic Stack in Go and Rust.
• Contribute product thinking on what tools and features should be built.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in backend systems, services, or libraries.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and knowledge of LLMs, agents, and protocols.
• Significant recent experience with Go and ideally other programming languages.
• Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to contribute to codebases in unfamiliar languages.
• Strong focus on usability and developer experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to work as part of a remote, globally distributed team.
