Senior Software Engineer (Remote) @Imply

Overview

The role involves working as a Senior Software Engineer at Imply, focusing on building scalable web services and cloud infrastructure for observability and security data. Imply aims to empower organizations to achieve more with their data through innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly available services and infrastructure across multiple geographic regions in a multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Build, maintain, and operate SaaS, BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud), and on-premise offerings.
• Maintain infrastructure-as-code for deploying resources on Kubernetes across multiple clouds.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to build end-to-end customer experiences.
• Demonstrate full lifecycle ownership of products and features including writing documentation, and manual and automated testing.

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience in software development, architecture, cloud technology, networking, and modern application design.
• Experience building large-scale, API-first production web services (Java required).
• Production experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
