Senior Staff Product Manager, Query @MongoDB

Overview

The MongoDB Query Team is seeking a Senior Staff Product Manager to provide product leadership for a modular distributed query engine and flexible query system. This role involves shaping the multi-year strategy and product architecture for the Query business unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Vision and Roadmap: Spearhead strategic unity across multiple product areas to drive a coherent product experience.
• Business Leadership: Originate and de-risk strategic bets, owning business cases and advising leadership on economic outcomes.
• Customer Advocacy: Engage with significant customers at the senior level to inform the roadmap.
• PM Excellence: Mentor Staff and Senior PMs, creating frameworks for customer and market research.
• Cross-Functional Alignment and Execution: Partner with Directors and VPs to shape investment allocation across product portfolios.
• Market and Engagement: Represent MongoDB externally at industry events and conferences.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience, including leadership in product management for platform, infrastructure, or database domains.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to convey complex technical issues simply.
• Proven success in delivering complex cross-functional projects with multi-year business cases.
• B.Sc. in a technical discipline, preferably Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Deep technical fluency in database query engines, query languages, and developer experiences.
