The Senior Strategic Finance Manager will play a key role in driving disciplined growth and long-term value creation within Instacart's Strategic Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead finance for retailer deal flow, setting financial strategy and shaping pricing philosophy.
• Develop decision frameworks and build robust models for high-stakes negotiations.
• Create financial modeling standards for retailer partnerships, ensuring consistent output across a high-volume pipeline.
• Define and operationalize Instacart's pricing philosophy and deal guardrails.
• Maintain partner- and portfolio-level P&Ls and forecasts with clear KPIs.
• Adopt scalable deal desk processes and pricing architecture across the Retailer organization.
• Create self-serve dashboards for quantifying tradeoffs and accelerating investment decisions.
• Establish a portfolio-level investment evaluation framework for confident go/no-go decisions.

Requirements

• 8+ years in strategic finance, corporate finance, or related fields with experience in business development or commercial partnerships.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on deal experience and ownership of finance workstreams across complex agreements.
• Experience in negotiations with C-suite and VP-level executives.
• Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and unit economics.
• Ability to communicate analyses and recommendations clearly to senior executives.

Benefits

Instacart offers competitive compensation and benefits, including a new hire equity grant and annual refresh grants. The role is remote with a salary range for Canadian candidates of $176,000 — $185,500 CAD, depending on location.
