Site Reliability Engineer @GoCardless

Overview

The role of Site Reliability Engineer at GoCardless involves working with a globally distributed Platform Engineering team to ensure the health and stability of systems while also engaging in project delivery and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Building new platform components from initial design to deployment.
• Ensuring the health and stability of systems through on-call rotations and incident management.
• Continuous maintenance and support for audits and compliance.
• Automating operational tasks and building infrastructure tools.
• Working closely with software engineers and data scientists on technical design and decisions.

Requirements

• Experience with at least one programming language (Python, Ruby, Golang).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling, such as Terraform.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP) and containerized applications.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE) is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Fluency in English and excellent teamwork and communication skills.
