Site Reliability Engineer - Core @Blockchain

Overview

Blockchain is a leading global crypto company that allows millions to safely access cryptocurrency. They are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their Core team to enhance infrastructure practices for a distributed financial platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve infrastructure related to reliability, latency, bandwidth, and security.
• Enhance observability, monitoring, and alerting across the platform.
• Coordinate efforts across departments for efficient execution.
• Centralize common workflows currently duplicated across developer teams.
• Develop tooling to automate manual tasks, promoting scalability.
• Contribute within a fast-paced, dynamic environment alongside a skilled team.

Requirements

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Hashicorp Nomad, Consul, and Vault are a plus).
• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (Golang, Python, Bash are a plus).
• Linux skills, including resource allocation and network knowledge.
• Experience with cloud solutions (GCP or AWS).
• Familiarity with modern monitoring tools (Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, Telegraf).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform experience is a plus).
• Background in configuration management (Saltstack experience is a plus).
• Experience using GitOps and CI, preferably with Github Actions.
• Familiarity with messaging systems, such as Kafka.
• Database management experience.
• Experience working in Data Centers is a plus.
• Knowledge of routing and switching protocols is a plus.
