    Overview

    Blockchain is a global crypto company that connects the world to the future of finance. They are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join their Core team to promote infrastructure best practices for a distributed financial platform that reaches millions of users daily.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Play a critical role in evolving infrastructure to address technical challenges related to reliability, latency, bandwidth, and security.
    • Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across the platform.
    • Coordinate work across various areas of the company for efficient execution.
    • Centralize common streams of work currently duplicated across developer teams.
    • Develop tooling to automate manual and repetitive tasks.
    • Contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high-caliber team.

    Requirements

    • Experience with containerization and service orchestration; familiarity with Hashicorp Nomad, Consul, and Vault is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Golang, Python, or Bash).
    • Proficient in Linux, resource allocation, and network management.
    • Experience with cloud solutions (GCP or AWS).
    • Demonstrable experience with modern monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, and Telegraf.
    • Experience with infrastructure as code tools, preferably complex Terraform deployments.
    • Background in configuration management tools; experience with Saltstack is a plus.
    • Familiarity with GitOps and CI, preferably with GitHub Actions.
    • Experience with messaging systems like Kafka and database management.
    • Experience working in Data Centers and knowledge of routing and switching protocols is a plus.
