Site Reliability Engineer (Senior or Staff), Atlas @MongoDB

Overview

The role involves serving as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for the Atlas team at MongoDB. The position can be hybrid or fully remote for candidates based in Eastern or Central time zones. The SRE Atlas team is dedicated to supporting, maintaining, and growing the Atlas platform, delivering a customer-first approach and ensuring high availability of services.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of a multi-cloud platform for business-critical applications.
• Collaborate with service teams to provide internal support and solve technical challenges.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve issues swiftly and ensure minimal disruption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience running critical systems at scale.
• Preference for automation over manual processes.
• Familiarity with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and capability to operate in a multi-cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of large scale Linux environments.
• Proficient in at least one modern programming language (Go, Ruby, Python).
• Solid understanding of web and network protocols (HTTP, TLS, DNS).
• Must be a US Citizen.
