Site Reliability Engineering, Fabric (Mid, Senior, or Staff) @MongoDB

Overview

The role is for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) on the Fabric team at MongoDB, which is responsible for managing critical infrastructure elements for secure communication between systems. The position can be performed remotely from anywhere in North America or in one of the company's offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a reliable, resilient multi-cloud globally-connected network for MongoDB’s services.
• Collaborate with service-owning teams to provide internal support and guidance on service-to-service connectivity best practices.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve issues related to network architecture and service connectivity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with distributed systems and networking fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, TLS/mTLS, BGP, tunnels, and SDN principles.
• Strong familiarity with modern cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and network design.
• Knowledge of service mesh and load-balancing concepts.
• Customer-focused mindset and a preference for automation.

Location

Remote from anywhere in North America, or based in NYC, Austin, Palo Alto, or San Francisco offices with hybrid work options.
