Software Engineer 3, Networking & Observability @MongoDB

Overview

MongoDB is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to join the Networking & Observability team, responsible for building components that enhance communication between distributed processes and improve their observability.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and enhance the functionality of MongoDB's networking and observability codebase.
• Lead medium-sized projects related to networking code or observability frameworks from technical design to delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues throughout the project lifecycle (ideation, requirements gathering, design, execution, and delivery).

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems.
• Experience in delivering and deploying products with cross-team stakeholders.
• Strong computer science fundamentals with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design/architecture.
• Hands-on experience building production-level code, with proficiency in C++.
• Interest in networking, observability, and the impact of computer architecture on SaaS availability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
