Software Engineer II - Full Stack - Web Engineering @Elastic

Overview

The role is for a Software Engineer II in the Web Engineering team at Elastic, a company focused on enabling businesses to leverage their data with AI-driven search solutions. This position involves owning meaningful parts of the web experience for Elastic's site, working in a distributed and asynchronous environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own features across the full stack, including design, backend services, and deployment pipelines.
• Instrument client-side performance and backend logging.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to build, test, and release features.
• Write clean, maintainable code and manage its behavior in production.
• Triage, investigate, and resolve security vulnerability reports.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a full-stack or frontend role with strong TypeScript and React skills.
• Production experience with Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines end-to-end.
• Proven experience using AI to accelerate development.
• Background in building for high availability and scalability in production.
• Ability to work autonomously within a globally distributed team.
