Overview

The Software Engineer II (Mobile Developer - Android/Kotlin) position at Klaviyo focuses on building and maintaining mobile app experiences by integrating with Klaviyo's mobile SDKs. The role is part of the Mobile App Growth team, which is dedicated to enabling Klaviyo customers to establish personalized relationships with their mobile app users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features and fixes to the Android SDK.
• Contribute to other mobile SDKs (iOS, React Native, Expo, and Flutter) as required.
• Work on backend services, infrastructure, and UI for products like in-app messaging, universal linking, and geofencing.
• Diagnose and resolve SDK issues reported by customers.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code and design reviews.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams for consistent tracking and messaging behavior.
• Contribute to documentation, sample apps, and integration guides.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of professional Android development experience, ideally with Kotlin.
• Self-motivated, with a high ownership attitude towards projects.
• Production-tested experience with Android code and familiarity with the Android lifecycle, threading, and Gradle.
• Ability to debug across various devices and OS versions.
• Familiarity with testing practices and CI/CD for mobile.
• Clear communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience building or maintaining an SDK or library is a plus.

• Salary range of $116,000 — $174,000 USD.
