    Overview

    Twilio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (L3) to join the Twilio Segment team. The role focuses on building and scaling systems that process large volumes of data, empowering customers to unlock the value of their data through Segment capabilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and deliver robust, high-scale routing experiences for Data Pipelines.
    • Operate complex distributed systems in cloud environments.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to define solutions prioritizing usability, performance, and architecture.
    • Communicate technical decisions clearly, including trade-offs and customer impact.
    • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
    • Participate in on-call rotation for managed services, troubleshooting issues and improving system reliability.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • 5-7 years of experience writing production-grade code in modern programming languages.
    • Hands-on experience with high-scale messaging/streaming systems.
    • Proficient in Go, Java, Python, or similar object-oriented languages.
    • Experience with large-scale, distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
    • Understanding of software engineering principles for scalability.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
