Overview
The Special Intervention Lead role provides a unique chance to make a significant impact by supporting the National Emergency Operations Centre with innovative approaches to improve the quality of polio campaigns across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the planning process for special interventions, including IEV, RES, independent surveys, and cross-border activities.
- Develop comprehensive special intervention campaign plans and ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Draft and validate campaign budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Organize stakeholder engagement meetings at local government and ward levels to secure buy-in for the campaign plan.
- Submit timely updates to the State Technical Lead and other relevant stakeholders on campaign progress, challenges, and resolutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Health Sciences, or related fields. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Four to ten years of experience, including previous involvement in polio campaigns and implementation.
- Strong experience in campaign coordination in high-risk or insecure settings.
- Fluency in local dialects of the assigned region is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
