Overview

The Special Intervention Lead role provides a unique chance to make a significant impact by supporting the National Emergency Operations Centre with innovative approaches to improve the quality of polio campaigns across Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate the planning process for special interventions, including IEV, RES, independent surveys, and cross-border activities.
Develop comprehensive special intervention campaign plans and ensure alignment with program objectives.
Draft and validate campaign budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Organize stakeholder engagement meetings at local government and ward levels to secure buy-in for the campaign plan.
Submit timely updates to the State Technical Lead and other relevant stakeholders on campaign progress, challenges, and resolutions.

Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Health Sciences, or related fields. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Four to ten years of experience, including previous involvement in polio campaigns and implementation.
Strong experience in campaign coordination in high-risk or insecure settings.
Fluency in local dialects of the assigned region is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
