Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full-cycle monthly and quarterly close in accordance with local and US GAAP.
• Guide accounts payable and accounts receivable teams for correct accounting.
• Manage payroll accounting and intercompany transactions.
• Own statutory compliance including preparation and filing of financial statements, audits, and TDS/TCS returns.
• Partner with the US-based Controller on global close and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Help design and implement SOX-aligned controls and internal accounting policies.
• Lead close process improvements and identify automation opportunities.
• Owner of the audit relationship for international entities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new business initiatives.
• Mentor and develop junior accounting staff.
• Support US GAAP accounting as required in different areas.
• Assist in pre and post merger and acquisition activities.
• Lead new entity setups in different countries.
• Monitor changes in local GAAP and ensure timely implementation in accounting processes.
• Support cash, banking, and foreign exchange accounting matters.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5+ years managing a team.
• CA (Chartered Accountant) designation required; CPA or equivalent is a plus.
• Deep expertise in IFRS and US GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Experience managing or supporting Big 4 audits.
• Experience with high-growth technology or SaaS companies.
• Strong process-minded and curious approach.
• Effective communicator across remote and cross-cultural teams.
• Self-starter thriving in an async-first environment.
