Sr. Security Software Engineer, Application Security @Pinterest

Overview

Pinterest is seeking a Senior Security Software Engineer for its Security team to enhance the safety of its 619 million monthly active users. The role focuses on building tooling and product enhancements while improving the overall security posture and secure development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build out rules, processes, and platforms for secure development lifecycle.
• Deliver and review well-documented, tested, and operable code.
• Work cross-functionally to architect scalable and secure solutions.
• Conduct regular security assessments, including design reviews.
• Help rework existing controls in response to AI-related threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in product security, application security, or related software engineering roles.
• Enthusiastic about security and privacy.
• Proficient in a dynamic programming language such as Python.

Benefits

Salary range: $155,584 — $320,320 USD. This position is also eligible for equity. Additional benefits information can be found on Pinterest's website.

Location

This is a remote role in the US, with an in-office requirement for collaboration 1-2 times every 6 months.
