Sr. Systems Engineer, Sales & Marketing @Pinterest

Overview

The role involves advancing sales and marketing systems at Pinterest, where creativity and innovation drive product development. The candidate will take responsibility for building impactful products for sales and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate full-stack applications and services on Pinterest’s enterprise infrastructure for Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of GenAI/ML-powered services and pipelines to automate enterprise workflows.
• Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers, business systems analysts, and engineers to translate business needs into technical plans.
• Use AI coding tools to accelerate development, ensuring quality and reliability through rigorous testing and code review.
• Mentor other engineers on system design and AI-augmented workflows to improve engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with production systems, preferably in enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Java, Node.js, or Javascript.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems and integrations supporting critical business workflows.
• Experience with GenAI/ML-powered features and services in production.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Salesforce engineering experience is a plus.

Benefits

• Base salary range: $132,415 — $272,619 USD.
• Position eligible for equity.

Location

This role can be situated anywhere in the United States, with occasional in-office collaboration required.
