Staff Technical Program Manager, Security @Pinterest

Overview

The Staff Technical Program Manager for Security at Pinterest will play a critical role within the Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) Compliance Technical Program Management team. This position involves leading strategic, complex programs that ensure the security and reliability of Pinterest’s platform while collaborating across various teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic Security programs, managing execution across planning, dependency management, and outcomes.
• Partner with Security leadership and Engineering Leads for annual strategy planning and roadmap execution.
• Drive coordination and communication across Security and key partners.
• Manage operating cadence for high-priority security initiatives, ensuring clear governance and risk management.
• Define mechanisms for program health and accountability to provide leadership with reliable insights.
• Utilize GenAI for streamlining program operations and maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of technical program management or closely related experience.
• 5+ years of information security, risk, or compliance experience.
• 5+ years of big data and/or cloud experience.
• Strong technical judgment with the ability to understand system tradeoffs.
• Experience in leading strategic, cross-functional programs in security or other complex domains.
• B.S Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
• AI-first execution mindset with demonstrated ability to leverage GenAI.
