Overview

This role offers an opportunity to provide overall leadership and management for the Lafiya Programme implementation in Kaduna State, Nigeria, focusing on health systems strengthening.

Key Responsibilities

Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of state-level activities.
Ensure timely and quality delivery of programme outcomes.
Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure value for money.
Supervise and mentor technical and administrative staff.
Oversee recruitment, performance management, and staff development.
Represent the programme at state-level meetings and forums.
Build partnerships with government agencies, donors, and community stakeholders.

Requirements

Master’s degree (or higher) in Public Health, Health Economics, Policy, or a related field.
Extensive experience in senior programme management.
Strong expertise in health systems strengthening, financing, and policy.
Experience working with government and donor-funded programmes.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Knowledge of Northern Nigeria’s health systems (advantage).
Hausa language skills (preferred).
