Overview
Save the Children International is recruiting for a Supply Chain Officer for a national role based in Jigawa State, Nigeria. This position supports logistics and supply chain operations to ensure effective service delivery across programme activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage transport and fleet operations including vehicle tracking, maintenance scheduling, and compliance with documentation requirements.
- Coordinate staff movement and manage fuel consumption to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.
- Oversee asset and facility management, maintaining accurate records of all assets and tracking their usage.
- Oversee procurement activities in line with organizational policies, manage supplier relationships, and monitor timely delivery of goods and services.
- Prepare regular procurement and logistics reports and track expenditures to ensure operations remain within approved budgets.
- Maintain organized documentation and produce weekly and monthly reports.
- Supervise drivers and supply chain assistants.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma.
- At least 3 years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably within an international NGO.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Good proficiency in information technology and ability to work in challenging field environments.
