Overview

Save the Children International is recruiting for a Supply Chain Officer for a national role based in Jigawa State, Nigeria. This position supports logistics and supply chain operations to ensure effective service delivery across programme activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage transport and fleet operations including vehicle tracking, maintenance scheduling, and compliance with documentation requirements.
Coordinate staff movement and manage fuel consumption to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.
Oversee asset and facility management, maintaining accurate records of all assets and tracking their usage.
Oversee procurement activities in line with organizational policies, manage supplier relationships, and monitor timely delivery of goods and services.
Prepare regular procurement and logistics reports and track expenditures to ensure operations remain within approved budgets.
Maintain organized documentation and produce weekly and monthly reports.
Supervise drivers and supply chain assistants.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma.
At least 3 years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably within an international NGO.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Good proficiency in information technology and ability to work in challenging field environments.
