Overview

The Danish Refugee Council is currently recruiting for the position of Economic Recovery Officer for a 12 month national contract based in Gusau Zamfara State Nigeria. The role focuses on supporting humanitarian and livelihood interventions within the organization’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation of Cash and Voucher Assistance, including multipurpose cash assistance programmes.
Coordinate with stakeholders and internal teams.
Conduct beneficiary selection, verification, registration, and manage cash distributions.
Ensure accountability, safety, and compliance with minimum standards.
Monitor market prices and provide guidance on food security and nutrition.
Supervise activities related to malnutrition screening, referrals, and reporting.
Oversee community volunteers and coordinate trainings and awareness activities.
Maintain proper documentation for reporting purposes.
Engage with stakeholders including local authorities, NGOs, and community leaders.
Support monitoring and evaluation activities, including data collection and programme evaluations.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in Cash and Voucher Assistance programming.
Experience in food assistance and humanitarian settings, particularly with displaced populations.
Strong knowledge of protection principles and accountability to affected populations.
Good organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
