Overview

The Tech Lead for the Agent Framework at Elastic will oversee the architecture and technical direction of the agent layer in the Streams program, enhancing observability data collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Design a scalable architecture for the agent layer and evaluate new technologies to improve performance.
• Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews to enhance team performance.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize features.
• Coordinate efforts across teams to mitigate risks and adjust project plans as necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a technical lead or principal engineer in systems-level software projects.
• Deep knowledge of observability data collection methods including metrics, logs, and traces.
• Solid background in Go programming language.
• Experience designing management and control planes for distributed software.
• Ability to transition seamlessly between projects and work with various teams.
• Excellent written communication skills for producing design documentation.
