Tech Lead, Agent Framework - Observability @Elastic

Overview

The role is for a Tech Lead position in the Agent Framework team at Elastic, responsible for owning the architecture and setting the technical direction to support the company's Streams model.

Key Responsibilities

• Design a scalable and capable architecture for the agent layer and evaluate new technologies for system performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members; conduct code reviews and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and collaborate with the product management team to prioritize features.
• Facilitate collaboration across teams and identify potential risks, adjusting project plans as necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a technical lead or principal engineer on systems-level software projects.
• Deep knowledge of observability data collection methods and protocols.
• Solid background in Go programming language.
• Experience designing management and control planes for distributed software.
• Track record of leading technical initiatives from ambiguous design to shipped software.
• Comfortable with technical decision-making processes and documentation.
• Excellent written communication skills.
