Technical Instructor, West Region Service (Automotive) @Lucid Motors

Overview

The Technical Training Instructor position at Lucid is focused on providing high-quality training for technicians in electric vehicle repair and diagnostics at their service center in Costa Mesa, CA. This is an on-site role requiring passion, flexibility, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive technicians through engaging electric vehicle repair training.
• Organize and prepare classroom and shop settings for instructor-led training.
• Provide feedback from training sessions to improve future training.
• Support the Learning & Development team in creating robust training as a subject matter expert.
• Maintain classroom and shop cleanliness for in-person training.
• Order and maintain parts inventory.
• Work with training coordinator on student records and scheduling.
• Stay updated with the latest procedures and best practices from the technical team.
• Comply with all safety rules and quality standards.
• Some international travel may be required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of technical training experience in the automotive field.
• 5+ years of experience in the automotive repair industry.
• Associate’s degree in automotive or equivalent work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of electric vehicle repair techniques and tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical skills, network diagnostics, and high voltage systems.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
• ASE Certifications and certifications in electric/hybrid vehicle repair are advantageous.
• Previous OEM training experience preferred.
