Overview
The role involves working as a Technical Services Engineer at MongoDB, primarily focusing on problem-solving and customer service related to MongoDB issues. This remote position is tailored for candidates based on the east coast of the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers on complex MongoDB problems across the entire MongoDB ecosystem.
- Resolve questions on architecture, performance, recovery, and security for customers.
- Mentor new team members and contribute to internal projects.
- Collaborate with product management and development teams to advocate for customer needs.
- Help customers with automation, backup, and monitoring of their MongoDB systems.
Requirements
- Systems engineering experience, including Linux performance and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS).
- Experience with storage engineering and production database systems.
- Coding/scripting skills in one or more languages (Java, Python, etc.).
- Ability to analyze issues holistically from application to storage.
- Genuine desire to help others and a collaborative attitude.
- US Citizenship is required due to federal regulations.
