Overview

Terre des hommes is seeking a Country Director for its operations in Kenya. This role involves strategic leadership, operational management, representation, and accountability to ensure the smooth functioning of national operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent Terre des hommes legally and operationally in Kenya.
• Lead all programmes and staff within the delegation.
• Develop and implement strategic and annual operational plans.
• Ensure operational risk management, security, and safety for staff and beneficiaries.
• Oversee finance, logistics, HR, and programme management.
• Maintain internal and external communications and accountability to stakeholders.
• Promote ethical leadership and uphold the organisation’s values.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in management or relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• French language skills are an asset.
• Ethical and exemplary leadership, strategic and operational acumen, strong risk management and safeguarding awareness.

Benefits

• Salary according to Tdh Kenya salary grid.
• Full-time, national contract (24 months).
