    Overview

    This fellowship offers a prestigious and fully funded three‑month residential program designed to nurture Ghana’s next wave of accountability and anti‑corruption journalists. It aims to strengthen investigative reporting, promote transparency, and enhance press freedom across Ghana.

    Eligibility

    Applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Must be a journalism graduate, early‑career journalist, or young professional with a strong passion for journalism.
    • Must commit fully to the residential program from September to November 2026.
    • Female applicants and journalists residing outside the Greater Accra Region are strongly encouraged to apply.

    Benefits

    Applicants will receive a comprehensive blend of training, mentorship, and practical newsroom experience, including:

    • Intensive Training Modules: Anti‑corruption reporting, use of Ghana’s Right to Information (RTI) Law, data journalism techniques, fact‑checking methodologies, and additional investigative reporting tools.
    • Hands‑On Mentorship: Work directly with fact-checking and investigative journalism platforms.
    • Story Production Support: Financial assistance for investigative stories, editorial guidance, and a chance to produce impactful stories.
    • Certification and Stipend: A Certificate of Honour and a monthly stipend throughout the program.

    How to Apply

    • A Motivation Letter (maximum 400 words).
    • Two Published Articles (journalistic pieces or a published blog post).
    • A Letter of Consent from your employer (for staff journalists).
    • A CV with two referees.
