The Program Manager, Green Trade role represents a strategic leadership position within TradeMark Africa, contributing to advancing sustainable trade systems in response to climate change, global standards, and investment priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement climate-resilient programmes
• Ensure environmental compliance and manage risks
• Develop low-carbon trade pathways
• Strengthen institutional capacity on climate and sustainability
• Mobilize funding through climate financing mechanisms
• Conduct environmental and social impact assessments
• Develop partnerships and thought leadership in green trade
• Monitor programme performance and facilitate knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Environmental science, Natural resources, Engineering, or related fields
• Postgraduate qualification is an advantage
• 7 years’ experience with an undergraduate degree or 5 years with a postgraduate degree
• Direct experience in climate change or green trade initiatives
• Experience in international and multicultural environments
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Proficiency in French is an advantage
