Translator–Reviser (English/French) @World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

Overview

This opportunity offers three Translator–Reviser positions specializing in English/French translations for patent documentation at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Eligibility

• Applicants must hold either an advanced university degree in translation, modern languages, or a relevant scientific/technical field, or a first-level university degree in a relevant field combined with at least two additional years of professional experience in translation.
• Candidates should have at least seven years of relevant professional experience, primarily in technical or scientific translation. Experience in intellectual property translation is considered an advantage.
• Native-level proficiency in French and excellent command of English are essential.
• Proficiency in at least one additional PCT publication language is required. Knowledge of additional languages such as Arabic, Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish is desirable.

Benefits

These positions offer fixed-term contracts of two years, renewable based on performance, with a maximum total duration of five years. The annual total remuneration for the P4 grade position is approximately USD 146,455.
