Overview

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the empowerment of smallholder farmers through training on climate Smart Agriculture, enhancing their yield with quality inputs and market linkage.

Key Responsibilities

• Train smallholder farmers on CSA – Conduct field sessions on drought mitigation, conservation agriculture, and integrated pest management.
• Empower women and youth in agriculture – Design training for female farmers and young agripreneurs, addressing barriers to inputs, finance, and markets.
• Develop school & institutional programs – Partner with agricultural schools to integrate CSA modules.
• Identify and onboard government & NGO partners – Engage with Ministries and donors to align activities with national CSA policies.
• Build private sector & cooperative partnerships – Establish alliances with agribusinesses for input supply and market access.
• Manage last-mile input distribution – Coordinate delivery of seeds, fertilizers, and chemicals to farmer groups.
• Create market access channels – Connect farmers to reliable off-takers by aggregating produce and ensuring quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of BSC/HND/OND in Agriculture, Microbiology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strong computer/ICT skills.
